A Journey Rooted in Service
- Er. Karthik Babu’s life is a testament to resilience and service. Born into a modest family in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, he attended a free vernacular Sourashtra Community School. Despite enduring daily commutes of over an hour and financial constraints, his determination was unwavering. A second-hand bicycle bought by his father for ₹400 during ninth grade symbolized the sacrifices made to support his education and aspirations.
- From an early age, Karthik displayed a natural inclination for community development and social work. His achievements are deeply rooted in the encouragement and unwavering support of his family and friends, who nurtured his passion for serving society
A Lifelong Commitment to Volunteering
- Karthik’s volunteering journey began during his involvement with the Scouts,NCC & JRC, where he exhibited exceptional leadership skills. His dedication to community service earned him the prestigious Rashtrapati Scout Award, a pivotal moment that set the foundation for his lifelong passion for volunteering.
- As a college student in 1998, he was inspired by the guidance of the Member of Parliament for Madurai South, who encouraged his efforts. This mentorship motivated him to spearhead numerous community initiatives focused on disaster preparedness, public awareness, and career guidance for youth.
