DRR Pledge for a Safer Future

Inspired by the Prime Minister’s 10-Point Agenda, NIDM, and the Mission of DCTIAH-KB-INDIA

Pledge Drive

Solemnly pledge to uphold and advance the principles of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Road Safety, Health and Safety, Environmental Conservation, and Youth Empowerment. Guided by the Prime Minister’s 10-Point Agenda, the initiatives of the National Institute for Disaster Management (NIDM), and the mission of DCTIAH-KB-INDIA, I commit to fostering a safer, healthier, and more resilient society.

1. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)

I pledge to contribute to strengthening early warning systems and enhancing community preparedness for disasters, ensuring no life is lost unnecessarily.
I will actively participate in DCTIAH-KB-INDIA initiatives, such as Ham Radio communication, Train-the-Trainer programs, and community-based disaster preparedness activities.
I commit to advocating for disaster risk reduction as an integral part of development planning, aligning with NIDM’s mission to create safer communities.

2. Road Safety

I pledge to follow traffic regulations diligently and encourage responsible behavior on roads to prevent accidents and save lives.
I will promote road safety awareness programs, focusing on youth and public education, to build a culture of safety on Indian roads.
I commit to supporting infrastructure improvements and adopting safe practices to make roads safer for all.

3. Safety and Health

I will align my efforts with NIDM’s goals to integrate safety and health into disaster risk management strategies.

I pledge to mentor and guide youth in adopting innovative and research-driven approaches to solving real-world challenges in disaster risk management.
